Lorye attended Texas Tech University and graduated from the Art Institute of Houston with honors, maintaining a 4.o GPA. Lorye was honored with the David Peysen Memorial Fund Scholarship and several Academic Excellence awards.
She has over 20 years of design experience and is licensed by the Texas Board of Architectural Examiners as a Registered Interior Designer. She has worked nationwide in commercial design and internationally in high-end residential design.
Lorye started her career at a high end residential firm designing and providing turn-key installations for multi-million dollar vacation homes in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She later switched to commercial design and joined an award-winning and nationally recognized interior design and merchandising firm. She began in the single-family division and quickly advanced to Senior Project Manager, winning many awards and working with several well-known builders such as David Weekley Homes, Darling Homes, and Pinnacle Homes.
Seeking a new challenge, she later moved into the multi-family division as a Senior Project Manager/Lead Designer and worked with many high-profile developers such as Martin Fein Interests and The Hanover Company. After 8 years with that company, Lorye joined a new firm as one of two lead designers specializing in multi-family design.
Once she had completed many projects and worked with developers including Greystar, Trammel Crow Residential, Judwin Properties, and The Morgan Group, Lorye and her partner, Joanna O’Brian, decided to combine their expertise and talents to open their own firm.
